I heard something like this

  • ・What is your background?

  • ・ Why did you join GA?

  • ・ What is your current job?

  • ・ What are your future goals?

Learned the basics of management at Keyence

When I was a student, I was an ordinary student who never thought that I had accomplished anything. Realizing that I had a complex about the excellent friends around me, I chose Keyence because I wanted to achieve something that I could be proud of. I decided to join the company because I was attracted to the corporate culture of meritocracy, where performance is evaluated rather than age or educational background.

I was assigned to a sales office that is famous for being strict even within the company. I longed for a boss who was strict yet warmly guiding me, and I thought, "I want to be that kind of manager."

Seven years after joining the company, I was appointed as a sales office manager and began to challenge management. In the beginning, I was too overwhelmed as the person in charge and sometimes treated the members more strictly than necessary. How can the members grow in a true sense, and what can I do to achieve that? It was a time to think about the answer to that while hitting a wall and put it into practice.

I want to change the real estate industry and contribute to society

In 2011, when I experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake at our sales office in Miyagi, I witnessed the devastation. Realizing the overwhelming strength of nature and the powerlessness of humans, I began to think about how I should live the rest of my life. KEYENCE was a wonderful environment that allowed me to realize my own growth. I was able to feel that I was working for my family in a large, stable company. However, when I thought about my life again, I began to strongly think, "I want to expand the scope of what I can contribute to, not just myself and my family."

A member of GA technologies group that I had worked with at Keyence has joined the company, and I have been approached for a long time. Mr. Higuchi and Mr. Noguchi's strong determination to "change the real estate industry" was very impressive from the first time I heard their story. I was invited for more than a year and thought about it seriously, but at the time I had a goal I wanted to achieve at Keyence, so I turned it down. At that time, I was asked, "When will you know when you will reach your goal?" I answered, "One year." To be honest, I thought that after a year, we would forget about each other, but I was really surprised when he contacted me after a year. I felt that these people were seriously inviting me, so I decided to change jobs to GA technologies Group.

The presence of Mr. Higuchi, who is like a bundle of passion, and Mr. Noguchi, who has both a logical impression and a hidden enthusiasm, was a big decisive factor in participating. I felt that if I were to take on the big challenge of “contributing to society by changing the real estate industry,” this would be the only place.

Launching a sales organization and creating a virtuous circle

When I joined the company, I didn't have enough knowledge about the industry to the extent that I didn't even know the existence of a management company, so I literally started from scratch. However, because I had no preconceived notions about the industry, I think I was able to recognize both the current situation, which has many issues, and the ideal image that GA technologies Group wants to achieve.

From the beginning, I was working as a member of the sales team, but at that time the sales team was managed on an individual basis and was not organized as an organization. Aiming to become stronger as an organization, we repeated trial and error, but there was no result for half a year. So, I decided to go to the site first and put out the numbers. After I produced results as an individual, I set numbers for each team and started moving. And when my team achieved its goals for the first time, there was an atmosphere of 'can do' throughout the organization.

Sales is a strange thing, and goals that seem impossible can continue to be achieved when someone achieves them. That's exactly what happened this time, which led to the company's first achievement. When the application form was sent around 20:30 and the entire company achieved it for the first time, all the employees were delighted. I was really happy. This is the moment when a virtuous cycle of goal achievement begins for individuals, teams, and companies.

Advance your business and transform your industry

So far, I've gone from setting up a sales organization to instilling a sales culture within the organization. We went from 0 to 1 and from 1 to 10. And from now on, we aim to grow from 10 to 100. We must become an organization where members can move autonomously and grow. For this reason, it is imperative to train managers. I would like to develop human resources with leadership not only in sales, but throughout the company, and enhance our organizational strength.

Managers are required not only to have positional power, but also to have personal power and relationship power. This is because building trust with members and increasing psychological safety within the team are essential conditions for building a strong organization. That is why managers must grow mentally as well. We believe that a team with a high level of psychological safety and where each individual can take on challenges without fear of failure will be able to achieve success.

I have a desire to create an organization like a professional sports team. It is an image of the rigor of achieving results and the warmth of sharing victory. We are often referred to as a “fun organization”. That's all very good, but an organization that's just for fun won't achieve the bigger goals of changing the industry. We want to be an organization where everyone can share the goal of advancing the business and transforming the industry, and then having fun as a means to that end. I hope that all members of GA technologies Co., Ltd. team will make the real estate industry, and eventually society, better.
