Contribute to level up in the engineering organization

Joined as a new graduate engineer (2019)

I heard something like this

  • ・What is your background?

  • ・ What is your current job?

  • ・ What is important to be active?

  • ・ What are your future goals?

Seeking an environment where I can grow as an engineer, I joined GA technologies Co., Ltd.

At university, I majored in applied chemistry with the aim of becoming a researcher. However, as I progressed to graduate school and actually advanced my research, I began to worry that a research job might not be right for me. That's when I found software engineering. I took a leave of absence from graduate school and seriously studied to become an engineer, and got a job offer from GA technologies Co., Ltd. as an engineer.

What I emphasized in job hunting was whether there was an environment where I could grow as an engineer. I learned about GA technologies Co., Ltd. when I was thinking that a venture company would entrust me with a big job regardless of my age or experience. The decisive factor in joining the company was my intuition that I could grow rapidly with this company. In fact, immediately after graduating from GA BootCamp (*), it was a very good experience to be involved in product requirements definition and implementation as a development manager and project manager.

*GA BootCamp: An engineer training program provided for those who have accepted a job offer. The CTO (Technical Officer) himself conducts everything from code review to curriculum supervision, and the content is such that you can acquire practical technical skills. The average completion period of past participants is about 10 to 12 months.

"A product that realizes a new form of real estate transactions"

Currently, GA technologies Co., Ltd.' engineering organization consists of a toC media development team, an in-house system development team, a mobile application team, a cross-departmental SRE team, and a QA team. In response, our goal is to continue to provide high-quality engineering with the shortest man-hours. In addition, engineers belong to group companies such as ITANDI and RENOSY X.

After joining ITANDI as a new graduate in 2019, I was seconded to ITANDI and released a product that I had been involved in since I was a prospective employee. After that, I was involved in the development of ITANDI's service "OHEYAGO" as a development manager. In addition, as an SRE, I was in charge of infrastructure development, etc., and as an engineering manager, I was involved in the development of authentication infrastructure and property search services.

Currently, I am working on the development of “MORTGAGE GATEWAY by RENOSY (hereinafter referred to as “MORTGAGE GATEWAY”) with RENOSY X. MORTGAGE GATEWAY is a service that connects customers (applicants) who purchase real estate, real estate companies, and financial institutions. Since we have many stakeholders and are also involved in financial institutions, product development is extremely difficult, but I find it rewarding to work on it.

In order to be active in GA, important things regardless of occupation

GA technologies Co., Ltd. has a code of conduct that all employees should be aware of on a daily basis called "GA GROUP SPIRIT (GAGS)". For example, in the item "HEART", there is "Sincere. Honest. Let's do it properly as a person."

I think that embodying this GAGS is a major premise before skill as an engineer. People who are honest, humble, and highly motivated to grow are active regardless of age or occupation, and I feel that this is a good thing about GA technologies Co., Ltd..

Further scale the engineering organization through training

The goal of the engineering organization is to "continue to provide high-quality engineering in the shortest man-hours." Therefore, it is necessary to promote standardization at an appropriate level by accumulating rational decision-making while balancing new development and refactoring. Currently, as the head of development for MORTGAGE GATEWAY, I am applying the knowledge I have gained on the front lines of the field to the entire engineering organization. I would like to continue such improvements steadily in the future and contribute to raising the level of the engineering organization.

Another characteristic of GA technologies Co., Ltd.' engineering organization is that the percentage of new graduates is extremely high. Therefore, improving the skills of new graduate engineers has become an important issue in both the short and long term. In the future, we will continue to strive to realize an engineer organization that is strong in nurturing new graduate engineers and aim to scale the engineer organization.
